{i wrote this after i died}

On Instagram, I follow a lot of design accounts to spur on my creative muse.  In this case, my writer's muse was wholly inspired by a photo edit I saw with this same tagline pieced together with newspaper snippets.

the following piece ensued not long after.

{i wrote this after i died}

sour with love and old regrets

You were a photograph in waiting

I was the beat up frame you used to wait in

Forever.

Something about the way this works

Something about the weather

Something about the way this hurts

Something about forever.

Something in mystery

Something right in front of me

Something in the way the world will always turn.

Looking back, all in vivid La gazette

Sour with love and all of my old regrets

I can’t believe I never lived

Before I left.

Opened up a photo book

Looked at all the lives

Time took.

Remembered that today

Is just a chance.

So when I meet the dirt one day

And all my fears fall on decay

Can I begin to overcome

My resonance?

Something in the mystery

Something right in front of me

Something in the way the world will always turn.

Looking back, all in vivid La gazette

Sour with love and all of my old regrets

I won’t end up as second best,

Ill take a chance and end up

Where I was

Before I left.
